This long Antique Victorian guard chain is made up of solid curb links and each bare a Lion passant hallmark for Sterling Silver.

The chain is complete with a claw clasp at the end which may have been used to attach a pocket watch or a cylinder of fur known as a Muff to keep the wearers hands warm in winter.

It has a good heavy weight to it and can be worn as one long chain or wrapped 2 – 3 times around the neck.
